Introduction

Welcome to my hiking site!

I'm not quite sure when my love for mountains began, whether it was my first trip to the Canadian Rockies at age 15, or the many mountain dreamscapes that have appeared in my sleep throughout my life, but something about the mountains call to me.

Despite the fact that I live in the Ottawa Valley region of Ontario, where once mighty mountains have been reduced to mere nubs of the earth through billions of years of erosion, I've had the chance to travel and explore quite a few other mountains in recent years.

My main goal is to hike at least one unique and beautiful mountain a year and report it on this website. My ultimate goal is to gain enough experience to try my hand at more technical climbing in alpine environments.
